Free Long Distance Calls to Change Face of Communications
Sterling, Virginia - June 2, 2000 – Charlie Taylor, President of Financial
Services, Inc. announced today on behalf of it’s www.vidnet.org communications division
that an agreement has been reached to provide advanced communications software
to customers who purchase high-speed DSL Internet service.
I am please to report that we now routinely
achieve telephone quality calls, and near TV quality video during one to
one and multi-participant calls via Internet, Taylor said. CU-SeeMe®
Pro (see-you-see-me) is the most advanced Internet
communications software in the world.
When combined with a PC camera and microphone and/or headset, not only
can you see and talk one on one with your friends, relatives and business
associates, but you can also conference in groups, small or large, when
connected through a public, or private access conference center via Internet,
or even on your own network. Because
Internet calls do not incur long distance telephone charges, consumers and
businesses will benefit substantially when they make domestic, or international
calls from their personal computers.
The advanced communications software, CU-SeeMe
Pro, will be distributed free, after rebate, to customers who subscribe to Speakeasy
high-speed DSL service through the www.vidnet.org
website. Customers will be required to
pay shipping charges and taxes, if any, but will receive a rebate from www.vidnet.org equal to their purchase price
of the software – currently $79.00 – if they sign up for Speakeasy DSL and
purchase CU-SeeMe Pro advanced communications software within 10 days of each
other through the www.vidnet.org
website. When you consider that a
consumer can now get Speakeasy high-speed DSL Internet service for about $50.00
per month, get free advanced communications software, and make free long distance
calls, this will literally change the face of communications, he said. To qualify for the free software, consumers
must place their orders no later than June 10.

To complete a free long distance call, both computers
must be connected to the Internet and using advance communications
software. With the software, calls can
