Of The Year" by CTI Magazine
January 2000 Issue Profiles MeetingPoint Version 4.0 as
Winner in Conferencing Multimedia Category
NASHUA, New Hampshire - White Pine Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: WPNE), a
leading provider of multimedia conferencing applications for the Internet and
intranets, announced that its MeetingPoint 4.0 conference server has been named
CTI magazine’s “1999 Product of the Year” in the conferencing multimedia
category for corporate solutions. These awards, are featured in the January
2000 issue of CTI magazine, profile the top computer and Internet telephony
products that have shaped the industry.
According to CTI’s
editorial staff, there were a large number of industry products and services
vying for awards.

standard IP video clients including Microsoft NetMeeting, Intel ProShare,

Pro desktop access software allows users to see and hear up to 12 or more
other conference participants. In addition to core conferencing capabilities,
MeetingPoint has a number of add-on features for specialized functionality. A Streaming Media Integration add-on allows a
live, interactive conference to be broadcast out via streaming media, or
recorded via streaming media for playback on demand. A ClassPoint add-on
provides moderation control and other features specifically for distance
learning and corporate training. MeetingPoint has received numerous awards
since its release, including the CTI awards and a “1998 Product of the Year”
award from Internet Telephony magazine.
